Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series Hawkeye has found its writer and executive producer in the form of Jonathan Igla, according to THR.

Igla is best known for serving as a writer and executive story editor on AMC’s hit series Mad Men. His other TV credits include Masters Of SexPitchShut Eye and Sorry For Your Loss.

The new series is set to star The Avengers actor Jeremy Renner in his long-time role as Clint Barton as he uses his experience being a non-superpowered superhero to help fan-favourite comic book character Kate Bishop on her journey to becoming the next Hawkeye.

Hawkeye is just one of many Marvel series currently lined up for a Disney+ premiere. The first series to hit the streamer will be The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, set to be released in the autumn of 2020, with WandaVision and Loki following close behind.
